Randomized Control Trial on the Effect of Health Education on Health Related Quality of Life Among Tuberculosis Patients in Kenya

Although health education is incorporated in tuberculosis treatment Kenya, its role improving quality of life the patient unknown. The main objective study was to determine effect on related patients Kenya. To achieve this goal program designed using PRECEDE-PROCEED model study. Randomized controlled trial design with pre- and post-test assessments adopted. conducted between September 2019 February 2020 Nairobi Murang’a Counties. A sample size 450 calculated 373 meeting eligibility criteria. Before introducing were assigned into experimental control groups. Health administered group but no such intervention given group. After six months two groups compared. standard questionnaire used collect demographic data while adopted EQ-5D-5L EQ-VAS instruments. MANOVA analyze domains scores test perceived poor health. 15% changes accounted for by 39.3% attributed education. concluded that improved knowledge TB as a result enhanced life.
